performance + sensory overload,
you might be interested in the work of audiovisual artists granular
synthesis, aka Kurt Hentschlager and Ulf Langheinrich. in recent
years they've mostly worked independently, but their performances
from the 90s are legendary. on-line documentation does not
demonstrate the immersive environment and certainly not what sound
can do to your guts.
