Gregg,

Yes, I remember the E.G. Robinson one now. But, I also remember what
is perhaps a second one as well, where the audience member stands up
and moves in the aisle, saying 'excuse me, pardon me.' Also, I'm
almost certain that Avery used the hair in the gate gag more than
once. I can't quite remember the one where the characters run off the
frame, and we see the sprocket holes, but I believe it was one or two
hunting dogs that did it. Guess it's time to dig out my laser disc
collections of WB toons, and (MGM) Avery toons, to refresh my memory.

Screwball Squirrel violated the fourth wall in every toon, IIRC. I
loved that, yet I have read that Avery hated Screwball Squirrel.
