I'm researching this topic too for my MA, love it! Yes, Tactile Eye is great. I also highly recommend the work of phenomenologist Maurice Merleau-Ponty (The Phenomenology of Perception, The Visible and the Invisible). He's a little hard to read - I found it useful to use some extra books at the same time as reading him, which help to clarify his line (or spirals) of thought. Amazing stuff. Also, the book Carnal Thoughts by Vivian Sobchack is excellent (one essay, 'What My Fingers Knew', stays in my memory), as well as The Cinematic Body by Steven Shapiro. A wonderful area to research.
Cheers,
CK

For me it was one of those books that deftly wove all the disparate stands of my interests and ambitions, seemingly from the font of my own experiences. One of those books that I'd frequently drop into my lap mid-read, throw my head back, and cast thanks into the ether in recognition that I had indeed been on the right path all along. In/joy...
