Anyone with an academic affiliation wanting to write about 'Seventeen'
should be able to borrow a copy, via Interlibrary Loan, of the VHS
tape issued by Icarus Films as part of the Middletown Series. It is
generally indexed by title as "Middletown: Seventeen" and by author
under the name of series producer Peter Davis, or 'The Middletown Film
Project." While DeMott and Kreines may disapprove of this edition, it
should suffice for the purpose of scholarly analysis.
