Shelly, I'm with you on the fucking, full stop. I'm just not sure that
perfect attention to the high quality of our easthetic production is
all the fucking we need to do, or even always fucking as such. While
we are all off tickling the muse, some part of us needs to be attuned
to the condition of our institutional paramaters, to make sure they
remain supple and porous. Gotta keep the inner cop in check, so he
doesn't mistake all the grunting and howling for inattention, and make
a move. Even bad art, done well, can make for good politics, so fuck
the good art.
