Caryn, i use a slide duplicator device to reproduce my film stills. it's simple machine with a diffused background to illuminate the still and a bellows with a lens on one side and 35mm camera on other. the lens i use is a Nikkor 50mm (also used for enlargers) good for close-ups.
the film is either tungsten balanced slide film, ie. Kodak 64T or i use negative, which provides greater exposure latitude. the color neg. still film is either daylight or tungsten., i can correct easier in post stage.
printing is either the Illfordchrome process, lab C-print or i'll settle for high rez scan for digital print out.
