There is a difference in tone between: (MUST BE TYPED) and (Please

"MUST BE TYPED" suggests that there may be some technological
reason, like insisting on using the "special pencil provided" or the
machine will not read your application and will discard.
I will not feel confident about filling anything in by hand on this
entry form until I hear a statement from Bryan Konefsky , Festival
Director, that this will be acceptable or not in no uncertain terms.
Otherwise I am not going to waste my time and/or money on this
Right-- these explicit rules kind of work against the whole idea of a
festival like this. If they can't read it, they can just keep a record of that
fact-- but how often does that ever happen? It's silly to have a "must" for
an underground festival...
All this techno-time wasting on process and not product-- that's the bane
of digitization. It becomes all about hardware that always changes.
