NEA International Digital Filmmaker Residency 2008 at Squeaky Wheel!
This four week National Endowment for the Arts funded residency at
Squeaky Wheel in Buffalo, NY offers one month unlimited access to
16mm production and post-production systems, the G5 Final Cut Pro
digital editing system and digital video cameras.

Residency includes lodging at a nearby hotel, travel, and a $1000
artist's stipend paid in two installments. Terms of residency
requires the artist to complete and exhibit at least one new work,
teach a local workshop (4 - 8 hours) on any topic related to media
art and curate an evening screening of films / videos which relate to
the resident's own creative investigations.

This Residency is directed toward experimental filmmakers who are
interested in using new technologies but lack the resources for
access and training.
Application must arrive at Squeaky Wheel BY June 14th, 2008. Selected
artist will be notified by June 30, 2008 and must fulfill the terms
of the residency between August and November 2008.

Local Artist Access Residency 2008
Application deadline: in-hand Saturday, June 14, 5pm

Squeaky Wheel is offering four equipment access residencies to local
artists. The residency includes forty hours free access to our
digital editing systems and 6-plate film editing suite, as well as
two days free rental of a production kit: 1 camera, light kit, tripod
and microphone. New this year: Selected access residents also receive
a free workshop and a $100 stipend for supplies! All access residents
participate in a public screening of the work created during the
residency. Unfortunately students are ineligible to apply.
