Hi there. This is an announcement of two small
publications created by San Francisco Cinematheque,
one very recent, one less recent but unannounced until
now, for no good reason at all.

Each is described below. Each is for sale by
Cinematheque for $3 each ($5 for institutions),
postage included. Please order from
www.sfcinematheque.org/monographs.shtml
Note that each is available as a free pdf download
from this site as well.

Here are the descriptions:

JOSEPH CORNELL: FILMS
This eight page booklet documents a screening series
presented by Cinematheque and the San Francisco Museum
of Modern Art in seven installments from October
12--December 14, 2007 which accompanied SFMOMA's
exhibit, JOSEPH CORNELL: NAVIGATING THE IMAGINATION.
The booklet contains full Program Notes for the three
screenings in the series and a substantial essay on
Cornell and his films by Jeanne Liotta. This
essay--composed specifically for this occasion--is, to
my knowledge, unavailable elsewhere, and is a
beautiful piece of writing.
NOTE: There are very few copies left of this edition,
and when they're gone, they're gone (although
downloads will be available until the end of time), so
order now!!! (or download later)
(information on the Cornell series is available here:
www.sfcinematheque.org/programs.shtml?x=494)

and while your at it, check out...
new monograph #2:
JENNIFER REEVES: LIGHT WORK
This is a six page expanded Program Note (with color
covers!) documenting Jennifer Reeves' mid-March (2008)
IMMERSIVE CINEMA retrospective, including images, full
Program Notes and an artist filmography. Get it while
it's hot!
(for information on this series, please see:
www.sfcinematheque.org/programs.shtml#528)

Once again, these are available, for sale or free
download, at
www.sfcinematheque.org/monographs.shtml
