The Craven backwinder works well. You have to put scotch tape over
the cartridge hub before filming the first take, that way the film
won't get wound tightly onto the takeup spool. The Craven backwinder
goes back 15 frames per crank, but you can also do it by hand in the
dark if you don't mind touching the film.
