Hi Bart, "viewfinder" "magazine" and need I say "shoot" share this
history !
When watching Spielberg (of all people !) riffing on Eisenstein in
the Omaha Beach opener of Private Ryan (the Germans seem to be mowing
down the landing force with montage) I couldn't help but think this
was nearly an argument attributing the motion picture camera's
parenthood not so much to Dickson or the Lumieres as to Hiram Percy
Maxim.....
Perhaps a forerunner of the sensor chip of your future Ultra rez
digital motion picture camera is watching you, potential adoptive
parent of its offspring, from the heavens :-0
