Experiments in Cinema V 2.0 screened this past weekend and
we are happy to report that the festival was a huge!
success. We had almost 300 people in attendance over the
course of our three day event here, in Albuquerque, New
Mexico. Highlights from the weekend included an inspiring
presentation by Home Movie Day founders Dwight Swanson,
Katie Trainor, Snowden Becker and Brian Graney and a very
special presentation by media theorist Gene Youngblood
titled “Secession from the Broadcast: The Worldwide
Migration to Media Counterculture.” If anyone on the list
would like a copy of our program which includes contact
information for the filmmakers, bios, synopsis, and my
brilliant intro. essay! Just contact me with your mailing
address and I’ll send a copy.

Thanks everyone for making Experiments V 2.0 an amazing
event! We’ll see you all next year and do keep “a look
out” for our next call for submissions which should be
listed on Frameworks and Flicker mid-fall 2007.

Best,
