The National Film Preservation Foundation invites proposals for its
"Avant- Garde Masters" film preservation grant program. Interested
archives must register by March 30, 2007. The final applications are
due May 4, 2007.

This cash grant, made possible by The Film Foundation, supports the
preservation of a film or films by a single filmmaker or cinematic
movement significant to the development of avant-garde film in
America. Works made in the last twenty years are not eligible.
Applications should show how the proposed titles have made a
significant contribution to the American experimental film movement
and why they are in need of preservation.

This grant will fund one or two preservation projects ranging between
$10,000 and $50,000. Awards will be announced in the summer of 2007.
The application guidelines are posted on the NFPF web site,
www.filmpreservation.org.
