For those of you who pay any attention to industry developements, there's
two new cameras being introduced by the two largest film camera
manufacturers.

Arri introduced it's new super 16 camera the 416. A totally new design,
not a based on the
SR lineage. I've only seen pics, but the camera reminds me of Aaton's
A-minima and the mags appear to load similar to the A-minima.

Aaton introduces the XTRprod2, based on earlier designed with
functionality upgrades.

Both cameras are, as you can imagine, astronomical in price, and far from
what most Frameworkers will get their hands on, but interesting
developements in the digital world of filmmaking. It seems that Arri and
Aaton both feel it's worth the investment to continue to manufacture
cameras for the 16mm format.
