Born in Vienna in 1934, Peter Kubelka is a giant of independent cinema. His
films, among the purest and most radical ever made, have revolutionised the
art of cinema. Film-maker, musician, theorist, and co-founder of the
Anthology Film Archives in New York and the Österreichisches Filmmuseum in
Vienna, Kubelka has taught in Europe and in the United States. His lectures
are legendary. Over three special evenings, Kubelka will present his works
and will deal with cooking as one of the fine arts.
Né à Vienne en 1934, Peter Kubelka est une figure monumentale du cinéma
indépendant. Réalisés à partir des années 50, ses films, parmi les plus purs
et les plus radicaux jamais tournés, ont révolutionné l'art du cinéma.
Cinéaste, musicien, théoricien, observateur attentif des arts, co-fondateur
de l'Anthology Film Archives de New York et de l'Österreichisches Filmmuseum
de Vienne, Kubelka a enseigné en Europe et aux Etats-Unis. Ses conférences
sont légendaires. Les 16, 18 et 21 février, au cours de trois soirées
exceptionnelles, Peter Kubelka présentera l'intégralité de son œuvre et
abordera la cuisine considérée comme un des beaux-arts.
