MINI-CINE

MINI-CINE is a volunteer operated venue for independent and experimental film located in Shreveport, LA. We primarily screen works on 16mm but can accommodate video when necessary. Screenings are held monthly at either the Center for Contemporary Arts or with the Centenary Film Society at Centenary College, both here in Shreveport.

For 1997 we are focusing on developing a Visiting Filmmaker Series and the schedule is as follows:

Sept. 23 Eric Saks-Creosote & Other Short Videos
Sept. 25 Eric Saks-Forevermore:Diary of a Leachlord
Nov. 20 Melinda Stone-Super-Super-8 Film Festival
Nov. 28 Danny Plotnick-Pipsqueak Pfollies & Other Shorts
Dec. 17 James Schneider & Martha Colburn-Oasis, Asthma & More

Past visiting filmmakers have included Craig Baldwin, Jennifer Reeves, Bill Daniel, and Greta Snider...Between these shows we jump cut with the classics and other current work like the above.
