Safety Is Our Concern

films from the collection of Peter Conheim

Monday, March 27 at 8:00pm

"Everyone wants to be safe, whether at home, at work, or at school. Instructional film has played a major role in the educating ill-informed citizens of all ages, reaching its peak during the cold war years. This program will be a selection of various types of films intended to either put people's fears of the unknown to rest or to aid them in potentially dangerous situations of all types. Subjects will be shown in complete forms as well as excerpted clips. Expect possible human interaction with the film forms to enhance traditional viewing procedures. As evidenced by tonight's material the illusion of safety may be as much to fear as fear itself." - P.C.
