I don't know anything about the eiki2000a so maybe it has some kind of temperature related failsafe but with most electronics there are a lot of different things that can go wrong from overheating.
You can start by checking all fuses. There might be some kind of quick blow fuses and if you are lucky they may have blown. Capacitors are often one of the more fragile bits of electronics, they can dry out over time anyway and may be quite unhappy about higher temperatures.

It really depends what is wrong with it. Projectors are often more electro mechanical than electronic so maybe it will be case of a burnt out motor or a trashed power supply, assuming you can replace parts on that kind of macro level? I'd guess on the power supply?
You don't really say what it is or isn't doing?

Hello,

Can anyone tell me which component i need to replace (and where i can get it?) in an Eiki 2000a which overheated due to the fan belt having perished?

Thanks

Mat
