if there is an a/v rental company in town, most of them have what are known as "safe-lock" stands. they are a very sturdy plastic
table top, with adjustable telescoping legs. the are at shortest, about three feet high, and fully extended almost 6 feet high.

For the past few months I've been selling surplus gear on behalf of Cineworks
Society of Independent Filmmakers that was donated when Technicolor Vancouver
shut down their lab last year. I've got the following items left:
Moviola 4 Gang 16mm Sync Block - $10
Moviola 4 Gang Dual 16mm & 35mm Sync Block - $15 (the knob for the 16mm counter
has been lost but counter works and can be reset with a pair of pliers or
similar tool).
Two 35mm Split Reels
1000' - $20
each
Prices are in Canadian dollars. Payment by PayPal, proceeds will go towards the
purchase of new equipment for the co-op. Contact me off list if you are
interested or have questions and would like to be e-mailed a picture. Shipping
will be determined based on your location, I guess it would be around $10-15 to
ship the reels and the sync blocks I estimate would be $30+ in North America.
