You go, Mallary! Sounds like a fantastic show.

Jason and other frameworkers -

Upon receiving your e-mail, I unloaded all of our submissions - dvds,
all packages, envelopes, all statements, etc, to make sure we did
receive your submission. We did.

This issue is something that struck me a few weeks back when everyone
was discussing the Tie Festival. I wondered if I missed
correspondence with one of the filmmakers who submitted to us, and my
wonder was just answered by you.
Your complaint is well received, and is something that we will try to
not let happen again. I apologize for this - and know that your
complaint is very much acknowledged.

This is Cut and Run's second year running, everything has been either
self funded or donated, and is run by two individuals, across
distances. We have no headquarters yet. This year has had a much
larger impact than last, and we are still developing who we are, what
our roles are, how to run this and keep everyone happy and treated
fairly. Cut and Run has a history of being improvisational, but we
stick to being professional. For example we may get submissions that
we know won't work with the program we're curating at the moment, but
is put aside to perhaps be included in a future idea or program. This
is why we never set "deadlines" for submissions. But still, you should
have been contacted as soon as it was received.

Inevitably I know there will be issues to resolve in running a film
festival, and this is one of them. Everyone who submits to us will
hear back whether or not we are interested in working with their films
from here on out. Eventually we will have a more organized method of
submitting.

Hope you accept our apology Jason, and anyone else who was left out of
the loop. Jason, you just initiated a more serious effort for us to
keep the correspondence up to speed.

all best,
Mallary
