I think the Illegal Cinema series has a spot open on August 9th.

Otherwise Paris is quiet in August. There are some screenings at the
Cinematheque and Pompidou and the open-air screenings in La Villette,
but the experimental film groups are off on vacation.
I'd be happy to show you around the lab.
