“Film artist Bruce Baillie has committed his whole life to creating a more peaceful world through his art. One of the founders of the San Francisco Avant Garde film movement, his works are in the Library of Congress and considered national treasures. “Tonight’s program will be dedicated to the screening of Bruce’s recent video works:The P-38 Pilot, Commute and ‘Salute,’ Part I –an introduction to his ‘final film’ in progress titled Memoirs of an Angel (Remembering Life). “'Beginning with children at dusk, flocks of starlings in flight, birth, sea, and the title, My Last Masquerade, lyrical film artist, Bruce Baillie's declared last film will be in three parts, Salute, Night, and Light.'”-Marcel Joyeux. We hope BB will be able to appear along with this exhibition of his recent videos. Snacks and refreshments will be served during intermission.
