As many of you know I have been traveling to Havana each year to present programs of US Experimental Cinema. This has grown over the years and as a direct result there is an interest to cover experimental film in the Cuba Cinema Journal.

"Starting from the next issue for the Cuban Cinema Journal, a new section to the speak about debates and general problems that concern to the experimentation and the vanguard in the contemporary audiovisual production. This new section will be named Another cinephilia.

"We want to publish texts focused on works and authors that don't belong to the commercial cinema, as well as the forms, trends or geographies of the audiovisual production that are not usually seen in the commercial screen. I believe that it is a beautiful opportunity to expand the limits of cinematic experience for the new Cuban spectators.

"We are now open to receive reviews, essays, articles, interviews, etc. Please, send me your proposals (specifying topic and approximate how many words or pages)." Victor Fowler Calzada (poetlaureate of Cuba, and editor of Another Cinephilia)

Deadline is July 15th

I will forward these directly to my contact there Victor Fowler Calzada so please send any articles, reviews, etc to my other email email suppressed

PLEASE NOTE I DO NOT USE THIS EMAIL ADDRESS OTHER THAN TO RECEIVE FRAMEWORK POSTINGS.

Thanks

Dominic Angerame

Hello Vancouver Frameworkers,
I'll be screening my new film, 'Crooked Beauty' in several locations in Vancouver from July 6 through July 10.
Can someone lend myself and my producer a couch/floor for a night or two?
If so, please contact me off list.
Many thanks...Ken
