there was a Flicker in Asheville several years back. not sure of it's life span .. if still around. Asheville is an interesting place. small , but seems to provide support for sometimes interesting things. Black Mtn College Museum have shows now and then. i feel if there is not a venue of sorts it would be supported.periodically during winter months i frequent near by in Toxaway/Brevard to work on a film project and recently have been in touch with couple asheville galleries for exhibition.let me know if you discover anything or make something happen there.

Hello Frameworkers...

I recently moved to the Asheville area, and I was wondering if any of you knew of any experimental filmmaking groups or microcinemas around here?  (And, if there isn't one, do any of you want to start one with me???  I used to be a part of IC Microcinema and ran the ICE Film Fest in Iowa City and I'm desparately missing the presence of an experimental film scene...)

Thanks!

Yay for film!
