Brett, I apologize if the following has already been mentioned, I came to check this email late in the discussion... I teach something similar to this, although it's spread over a number of weeks in an experimental film/video/media course, not an entire semester. I lecture, screen and discuss a number of examples that include NEGATIVLAND, EBN and others. There is also the obvious and more recent fan based mash-ups such as BrokeBack to the Future and Apocalypse Pooh. We also look at TV Sheriff & the Trailbuddies based out of LA.
