If you haven't considered, there is always Anne MacGuire's deeply surreal "Strain Andromeda The" and "Adventure Poseidon The."

Pretty amazing, pretty amazing. They are both great for so many reasons.

Though they are not shorts.

"Shoot the Moon" (1962) is Red Grooms's and Rudy Burckhardt's remake of Melies's classic "Voyage to the Moon." You can find it at Film-maker's Coop.

In case you're still looking for remakes and the like I just found the title that Arnulf Rainer remake from Japan.
"A Flick Film in which there appear Liz and Franky, is composed under the score of Arnulf Rainer by P. Kubelka on NTSC" by Sueoka Ichiro

My reconstruction of Peter Kubelka's Arnulf Rainer. Let me know what you think:

There was also a Japanese filmmaker who reconstructed Arnulf Rainer with two classic hollywood films, but I can't remember the filmmaker or title.

Subject: Re: xenon 16mm projector in Florida?

Hi Jeff,
thanks for the info.
I have both kinds of loopers (and the motorized one runs on 110V).
I will check out your links.
But there are frameworkers in Florida, including the festival at Gainesville where Roger Beebe shows 16mm. I know, because I was there last February 22!
Maybe someone down there will be willing to rent one!
All the best,
Pip

Does your looper use a motor, Pip? Or is it just driven by the film? You may need to deal with 110v/60Hz power.

You might try the lab in Miami -- Cineworks -- http://www.cineworks.com/?page_id=213 -- while they don't make prints they may know the local rental availabilities. 16mm projectors are getting hard to find.

International Cinema may rent machines, but they can be difficult to deal with. http://www.iceco.com/

Good luck!<http://www.iceco.com/>
