Re: super-8mm prints?

The reversal print stocks for making Super 8 prints were discontinued some years ago, and someone told me about a year ago that the last place in the U.S. who still had a stockpile of it - Film and Video Services in Minneapolis - was all out of it.

On the other hand, I keep hearing about a lab somewhere (England?) that cuts down color print stock (maybe from 35mm?) to make a super 8 color print stock, for printing to from super 8 color negative.

But if you're talking about reversal, the best you could probably do these days is figure out a person or lab willing to print your super 8 original to super 8 camera stock, and live with the not totally ideal results that might give. But is anyone even doing that?

Or blow it up to 16mm and show the loops that way. But I'm guessing that's not really what you want to do.

I would love if someone would prove me wrong on this. Be nice to still have the option of super 8 reversal prints. Has anyone made any wacky special setup for doing this somehow? Or know of anyone who's toyed around with this kind of thing?

Also, if anyone has info on super 8 neg->pos printing anywhere, please share it with the list!
