It's not "scary" but it freaks people out - Brakhage's morgue film "The
Act of Seeing with One's Own Eyes."
In a similar line, in the Japanese film "Burning Star" the filmmaker pays
a weird visit to his father's dead body, then you see the cremation
process, then he goes outside into the parking lot and looks at the sun
for a long time. Don't remember the filmmaker's name, but it was shown
some years back at the Flaherty Film Seminar on Father's Day.
