I think this is not what you're looking for, but some Gaza Strip docs have
moments that are truly scary, moreso than any combat footage. Take a look at
the harrowing night scenes in "The Killing Zone."

By the way, those lethal Hungarian women are the subject of Gyorgy Paifi's
oblique narrative, "Hukkle" (2001). It's not scary, but it's a tour-de-force
of deadpan, nonverbal Hungarian surrealism.
