Just to let you know that the new, expanded edition of Naked Lens:
Beat Cinema (Soft Skull) has received a good review in Sight & Sound
(vol 19, issue 5, May 2009) , it was also praised by Electric Sheep
and numerous other publications.
Also, the latest (third, expanded) edition of Deathtripping: The
Extreme Underground (Soft Skull) is still available. Again, it's
received many good reviews and both the book and myself are featured
in the films Llik Your Idols - which has just been released in the
USA and France on DVD - and Blank City which premiered at Tribeca
Film Festival last month.
Both books have been taught at colleges in the USA, Australia, and
Europe. The new editions are redesigned, expanded, and fully
illustrated.
So, if you are buying books to stock the college or personal library,
two to consider!
