Slightly earlier - for those interested in new research on the 1957-59 Vortex Concerts in San Francisco, I've recently published a 6000 word essay in Europe, in Spanish and English:
"Cosmic Cinema and The Vortex Concerts." in Cosmos: The Search for the Origins, from Kupka to Kubrick. Arnauld Pierre, Ed. Madrid: El Umbral/Santa Cruz de Tenerife:TEA, 2008. ex.cat. (available through La Central, Madrid www.lacentral.com/9788487340970). I am told this catalog is pending republication in Paris.
In the US, I have a much shorter article forthcoming in Leonardo.
Other articles and a monograph on Vortex are forthcoming, though the interest is mostly European, not from US publications.
