Hey miriam,
Paypal may wait for the maximum time of the dispute period to
run out before they issue a ruling and therefore in turn refund you
your money. It's sixty days I believe. A long time. Be patient.
When presenting your case be succinct. Say less rather than
more. Try not to get emotional. Simply state that the ad headline
clearly states it is a "16mm film movie camera" and that is what you
thought you were buying. Tell them the seller is not selling a 16mm
camera at all. Tell them that what the seller has up for auction is an
8mm camera. I think that is all you need to say.
I am happy to say I won my case. I had to return a Panasonic TZ1
that was misrepresented. Paypal's policy at the time was to not award
shipping costs so I was hit with having to pay shipping both ways,
from California to Florida no less, but that won't apply to you
because thankfully he hasn't shipped it yet.
