The 8 fest returns for its second year at Torontošs Trash Palace (89-B
Niagara Street) for two nights of screenings book-ended by an art
installation and free workshop. The 8 fest is Torontošs only festival
devoted to all forms of small-gauge film, including Super 8, 8mm and loops,
shown in their original formats. The 8 fest showcases the 70+ year history
of small-gauge film from contemporary artists' work in the form, to its
wider cultural use in home movies, instructional loops and beyond.
