If you're looking for a more "high-end" solution, look into doing a
hardware upconvert at a post house such as Postworks in NYC. Hardware
will do a better job than a software upconvert, but you still won't be
able to get real 1080p video from a 480 source.

Since you're going from an analog source to a digital end product,
you're going to need to pass through an SDI card at some point.
Better to do the upconvert on capture if you can enable that through
your SDI card.
