I thank you for your very well written and well considered essay. It is your usual class act.
Maybe your comments are so superior to most (not all) because you are a critic and have your word chops and analytical chops,
and you are older and are able to be more thoughtful.
OK, some of you folks, read Mr. Camper's essay and strive for emailing not when you are just bristling,
but only after you think and practice good writing craft.
