Hey Mark,
This is awesome. Thank you so much. It is indeed tinting, not toning that interests me. I was recently looking at some Andy Warhol early monochrome silkscreens and thought that it was utterly cool. A bit of research revealed that filmmakers did it first, a thing Warhol might have been aware of.
It sounds like with your formulas it is feasible to do it in-house after some careful testing.
I am at the early stage of a project so results are 6 months to one year from now, but I will make sure to keep you (all of you who replied) posted.
