copyright language

Dear Frameworkers,

I've been helping a Japanese exp. filmmaker, now quite advanced in
years and very much esteemed. He is producing his own DVD-boxset of
his collected filmwork, and has written to me asking what language is
best to indicate on the materials that copying of the DVD is
prohibited. I thought the following phrase might work, but could
Frameworkers suggest better language? He's producing the DVDs in
Japan, but with English subtitles. Is copyrighting the DVD important
or necessary (the films are already copyrighted themselves)?

"Unauthorized duplication of this DVD, in whole or in part, is
strictly prohibited."

I'm sorry for the rudimentary nature of my question, but I hope a
generous Frameworker might help--or point me in the right direction.
