Hi Starting Wednesday, October 8th, I¢ll be presenting a 16mm performance/installation at the Whitney Museum of American Art in the exhibition BETWEEN THE STILL AND MOVING IMAGE. It¢s a triple-projector 16mm permutation of the super-8 work VARIETIES OF SLOW that I previously performed in the Whitney 2006 Biennial. In this version, which is in the 2nd floor Film/ & Video Gallery, I¢m revisiting old notes and aborted plans, attempting many of the extended approaches and intentions on my mind in/around 2005. While those performances lasted upwards of 7 hours, this version will run for nearly 4 weeks. Continuous alterations and interactions will be set in motion by daily instructions sent to the Whitney staff as well as by regular visits by myself and selected messengers (more info soon). The whole piece will constantly and substantially change over the course of weeks in ways both prescribed and unknown. I¢ll be there for sure on the weekend of Nov.
 1st and 2nd to re-present the super-8 version, albeit...with a twist. A much-simplified description and schedule is on the Whitney site: http://www.whitney.org/www/performance_film_and_video/film_and_video.jsp Thanks, A.
