In case anyone is interested or is researching the possible public domain
status of a work, there is a useful new copyright slide ruler available-- it's
an online version. Very handy-- it figures it all out for you--
Note that the 'C' notice means also that the word "copyright" or "copr." is
sufficient to establish required notice under the law-- a work doesn't need
an encircled 'C' to qualify. Many old works lack one-- but they are still in
