No - DVD was the mistake! The compression is too high for films with
radical single-frame animation. Only Hollywood stuff looks reasonable.
I have been pushing for Blu-Ray for the past six years. The
throughput is five times faster (although high definition entails
five times more information so there will be the same lossy
compression only five times smaller to the eye). But SD Blu-Rays
would look great compared to DVDs! Maybe like betas.
