Hi Jonathan,

Sharits location piece "Sound Strip/Film Strip" (1972) was made with a
projector that he had altered by removing the shutter and claw mechanism. It
wasnt just an idea, it was made! Bill Brand, who in those years was Sharits´
assistant, wrote a very detailed description of this installation; as he
worked closely with Sharits when he made it he knows a lot about it. The
text is in a book edited by Andrew Lampert Results You Cant´t Refuse:
Celebrating 30 Years of BB Optics, but i wouldnt mind to send you a copy
with a few other things that might be of interest for you.
