The book launch of Vertov: From Z to A will take place on Sunday
February 24 from 3 to 6 in the afternoon at the 'temporary Museum in
WIlliamsburgh Brooklyn USA, 118 north 11th st, 2nd floor. Vodka and
Dumplings will be served. Books will be for sale at the discounted
price of $15.00 (Normally $20). Come, enjoy, meet some of the
contributors.
Vertov: From Z to A is the result of a long standing fascination with
an indecipherable image from Vertov's Man with a Movie Camera. A
still of this image was sent to 100 artists, poets, theorists, and
filmmakers. Some forty responded and in various ways. This book is a
strategic compilation of those responses, constituting a remapping of
Vertov's paradigmatic modernist film into the terms of the moment.
