Holiday Frameworkers:
A neighborhood theatre, Cornerstone Theater, just posted an
application announcement for a residency opportunity, and i recall a
previous post asking for such information. I've pasted below bits
from the informative email, as well as the link to application/more
info. I've attended one Cornerstone show and keep up with their
programs. From my experience, CT incites through social and political
subject matter often directly involving and/or addressing its audience
members.

The long-awaited moment has arrived: Applications for the 2008
Cornerstone Institute Summer Residency are now available online! The
submission deadline is March 15, 2008.
The 2008 Summer Residency will take place from July 10 - August 10,
2008 in a small California town. This four-week residency combines
classroom curriculum and hands-on creation of a community-specific
production, in collaboration with Cornerstone artists and local
residents. The play will be written by Cornerstone Ensemble member
Page Leong and directed by Artistic Director Michael John Garcés.

Can't commit to a full month? Come to an Institute 2-Day Intensive in
Los Angeles on February 23-24! Led by Associate Artistic Director
Laurie Woolery and Institute Director Paula Donnelly, this workshop
will cover Cornerstone's history, evolution & case studies; theater &
social change; identifying & engaging community; turning community
stories into art (writing & design); rehearsal & performance (tools &
challenges); and collaborative composition & performance.
