Hi Jeremy

I organized a big series of films related to Wallace
Berman and west coast beats earlier this year here at
Anthology. In addition to the suggestsions you;ve
already received I'd add that Lawrence Jordan made two
other films with Jess. THE 40 + 1 NIGHTS (OR JESS'
DIDACTIC NICKELODEON) documents some Jess works, while
FINDS OF THE FORTENIGHT features a lot of titles by
Jess. The latter is, in my opinion, much more
interesting than the former, but both fit the bill.
You may also want to consider something from
Christopher Maclaine. His films BEAT and THE MAN WHO
INVENTED GOLD would be great in this (or any) context.
ALEPH by Berman is also a true wonder.

Best
A.
