Hi Masha--

I would suggest taking a look at some of the catalogs of film festivals and
organizations whose programming you respect. For example, the catalogs that
we produced when I was a festival programmer for Cinematexas were almost
entirely original content written by the programmers, senior staff, and
special curators. And there was typically a manifesto-ish statement from our
Festival Director on page 1. No clearer "voice of the programmer" in print
comes to mind.

Some catalogs are better than others, of course, but that's where I'd start.
I think a lot of organizations will even send out old catalogs for
free/cheap for research and archive purposes.
