as for shower curtains, i've had good results with the "frosted" clear
plastic liners (you can iron out the wrinkles by placing it between 2 cloths
and using low heat)

i also like architectural vellum. depending on the size you need, this can
be joined together pretty easily with tape, but i think you may be able to
buy large rolls

i considered checking out nautical sails, also: there are new ones made also
with vellum. if it suits this sceen could be very large.
