LIFE PROCESS features abstract film, digital animation and performance
video by London-based artist Riccardo Iacono. The screening is presented as
part of the Lucca Film Festival Artist-in-Residency established to support
the production and presentation of new and exciting film and video by
international artists in the grounds of Lucca. During his residency Iacono
will be creating new work for his ongoing video project Chucky: a seeing
game which involves throwing objects.

"My work is improvised, performative and process-based. I video record and
throw objects to explore the correspondences of the body, image and
environment; time, space, materials, identities and behaviours. My plan is
to use the residency to create new work exploring the amazing colour and
architecture of Lucca and the Tuscan landscape. I am particularly interested
in exploring the colour green (il verde)." Riccardo Iacono

The screening will include: From Memory (1994-2003); Letters (2000), Fuzzy
Lover (2003); Myeyeye (2000); Oo (2004); More Light (2004); Cold Tape
(2000); Walk (2001); and Odd Socks (2006); Pea Video (2006); P Process.
Green (2006); Maggie Blinks (2006); Intermission (2006); Party Animal
(2006); Lookout (2006); Kinky (2006); A Lecture in Throwing a Pea (2006).
The programme also includes Musical Chairs (2007) made by animation students
at London College of Communication. Programme time approximately 80 minutes
followed by Q&A.
