Thanks all for the advice. Very helpful. Bob Stein is an old friend but we've been out of touch for a while. Sophie sounds interesting. I hadn't thought of Flash and I'll check out Keynote. Thanks again.

If you want a non-proprietary software, Bob Stein and others are developing Sophie (a "book" software but from the demo I saw it would be great for presentation use) it's not out until July

      Frameworkers,
Can anyone recommend a presentation app that allows one to seamlessly (and reliably) integrate text, graphics and video? Powerpoint does not do this. I'm thinking of something that would look like "An Inconvenient Truth." Does anyone know what Gore used for that? Also, how does the remote control work? Is he running a computer or a DVD?
      I use PC.

Keynote was used for the presentations. Not available for PC as far as I know.

As for dealing with the source materials used to create the presentation, I'm pretty certain that lots of other softwares were involved. It is common for software manufacturers to create ads saying how their software was used for this or that film, but one generally finds that the specified software was only one of many tools used.
