EXP24: CALL FOR FILM FILM FILM!

WE WANT YOUR FILMS!
EXP24 has another film spectacular in store at Holy Trinity Church, Leeds, as part of Ladyfest Leeds 2007. We are here to showcase the most experimental, interesting, diverse, fun, shocking, and avant-garde film we can get our hands on! In addition to the pre-recorded we also seek live (site specific) audio/visual, musical and film performances.
We encourage works-in-progress: interesting ideas are more important to us than high production values. If you have a silent film, and would like musicians to improvise a soundtrack, or if you make music and want to submit a soundtrack to a film you’ve never seen, then we’d love to hear from you! If your film already has sound, or you feel it would work better as a silent piece, please just indicate this on the submission form.
Holy Trinity Church ((address suppressed)) provides a unique setting in the centre of Leeds. The space has fused together many a collaboration between artists, musicians, filmmakers and theatre, engaging with the vibe of this awesome yet challenging space.

The EXP24 event will be part of Ladyfest Leeds 2007 (10-15 April) a festival celebrating diversity and promoting gender equality. We welcome entries from all genders!

We can cater for Mini DV, DVD, Super 8, Standard 8 and 16mm film, as well as slide projection. Whatever the media, we want to see it and show it to Leeds! If you don’t want to send us celluloid in the post, please send us a preview copy of your work in VHS, DVD or Mini DV format. We will contact you to arrange transport of the original nearer the event.
But please, send in your submissions as soon as you can, because the 29th March draws ever closer!

EXP24 is a not-for-profit film collective. As well as making and screening experimental film, we are dedicated to creating a space where people can show their films, share ideas, be inspired and learn how to do it themselves. We want to:
-Engage experienced filmmakers and new-comers alike - from Yorkshire, the UK and beyond - to screen both celluloid and digital film/animation.
-Provide a platform for live performance and installation that breaks away from the frame and traditional cinema formats.
-Actively encourage a relaxed environment where conversation can through knowledge, experience and enthusiasm breed new ideas and collaborations.
