Wiretap Pro basically records the computer's "desktop" audio. In
other words, any sound your computer produces can be recorded. I use
it to record audio from internet broadcasts, dvds, apps that don't
allow export. Be sure to turn off any OS alert or interface sounds
since the app records any audio your computer produces.

The free version creates only AIFF. The shareware version creates
lots of other formats
